IBM MDM was the market leader in master data. But it is aging and its technology is dated. Yet, most IBM MDM customers are struggling to migrate to a modern MDM. Slashed budgets. Competing priorities. Plus the fact that IBM MDM is often deeply integrated and isn’t easy to decommission.
The right-now solution is to augment IBM MDM. Improve the match rate within MDM, improve your business value. Build customer-domain data mesh services to integrate IBM MDM and newer MDM technologies. Leverage MDM and entity resolution to build a customer 360 in your data lake. There are ways to move forward, without having to migrate.
